History, Mission & Vision

A bilingual education from the age of three

At EIB bilingual school, students begin to learn both English and French from their first day in nursery school. At this age, children are at a natural stage of huge expansion in language development, making this a key time to begin on the path to becoming multilingual.

Founded in 1954, EIB has been focusing on early learning of English from the age of 3.

Our success in language teaching is based on:

  1. Teaching in groups based on skill level

2. Using only qualified native-speaker teachers

3. Small class sizes to support an individual learning process

A multilingual, multicultural environment

We surround students in our bilingual schools with a multilingual, international environment, leading to a natural appreciation of different cultures.

As a UNESCO partner, EIB’s multicultural, plurilingual dimension is continuously promoted in our classes.

Placing children at the heart of learning

EIB bilingual school’s unique teaching methods are designed to support the needs of each child - creating a supportive environment that helps our students to flourish.

History of EIB Bilingual Schools

EIB was founded in 1954 with the opening of EIB Monceau private primary school in the 8th Arrondissement of Paris. Since then, we have grown from one small bilingual school to a group of eight highly regarded educational institutions that cater for all ages.

From the first year of nursery school (maternelle) at age 3 until graduation at age 18, EIB bilingual schools offer a comprehensive, continuous bilingual education.

Part of the Globeducate Group

EIB joined the Globeducate group in 2012, becoming part of a worldwide family of schools dedicated to academic excellence and shaping students to become global citizens of the future. Formerly known as NACE schools, Globeducate was established in Spain in 1972 and now oversees a collection of more than 65 schools across three continents.

Safeguarding: Protecting and Ensuring Pupils’ Welfare

Within Globeducate schools in France, the protection and welfare of pupils — commonly referred to as safeguarding — is an absolute priority. Our educational mission is founded on a safe, caring and attentive environment, enabling every pupil to learn, thrive and develop with confidence.

Schools within the group implement robust safeguarding procedures, informed by international best practice and compliant with French legal requirements. This framework includes the establishment of clear child protection policies, accessible to the entire school community; the appointment of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) who are specifically trained to identify and manage concerns; and clear reporting, monitoring and referral protocols, including coordination with the relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Education, social services and law enforcement agencies.

Prevention lies at the heart of our approach. Teaching and pastoral staff receive regular training to recognise signs of vulnerability, distress or abuse, to foster a culture of listening in which pupils feel safe to share concerns, and to promote respect, diversity, inclusion and responsible behaviour. Age-appropriate workshops and programmes also enable pupils to develop essential skills: understanding their rights, knowing how to seek help, recognising inappropriate behaviour and adopting safe digital practices.

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across the entire school community. Families, teachers, non-teaching staff and external partners are informed about, and actively involved in, the safeguarding policies and procedures in place. This collective commitment ensures consistent and ongoing vigilance.

By placing pupils’ wellbeing at the heart of all their actions, Globeducate and EIB Paris are committed to providing a calm, supportive and protective school environment in which physical, emotional and psychological safety is ensured. This strong commitment underpins the quality of the educational experience and supports the balanced and healthy development of every pupil.
