Welcome to EIB de La Jonchère

Dear parents and students,

Created in 2017 with the opening of nursery and primary classes, our school now welcomes almost 300 students from Kindergarten to the middle school in an exceptional green setting.

Building on the 60-year experience of our Parisian EIB schools, we have implemented a new model to meet the needs of bilingual French-English children coming from very diverse countries and cultures.

Taught on an equal time share in French and English, our curriculum is based on the French National education program taught through French and Anglo-Saxon pedagogical methods. Both different and complementary, they combine strong academic requirements and a caring approach. Our students develop their knowledge, critical and analytical thinking, as well as the necessary interpersonal skills to understand our current world which is in constant evolution. They learn to be autonomous and to adapt to a multicultural environment through openness to diversity and the respect of others.

Our team made up of thirty native teachers aims to arouse our students’ curiosity and creativity so that they find meaning in their academic learning while mobilizing their transdisciplinary skills making them ready to take up the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world.

Welcome to our EIB La Jonchère campus!

Jean-Pierre Davasse, Head of EIB de la Jonchère

Our academic mission

EIB private schools are dedicated to developing global citizens and to bringing people and nations closer together through bilingual education and an openness to other cultures. We are proud to be a UNESCO associated school, an organisation that shares our vision.

Our academic mission is based on three key promises:

  1. Immerse children, from preschool, equally in English and French, with half of the weekly schedule taught in English.
  2. Follow the French academic curriculum, enhancing it with Anglo-Saxon teaching methods based on experimentation and group work. At the end of their time with us, our fully bilingual students will be able to choose between Francophone or Anglophone academic systems.
  3. Nurture our students in small classes: thanks to a student-to-teacher ratio that is lower than the average French school. Our students enjoy personalised support in class, which allows our teaching teams to meet the needs of all students, ensuring they acquire the concepts and skills defined in the programme.
