Extra Curricular

At EIB de la Jonchère private school, learning does not only happen in the classroom. To help our students become truly well-rounded individuals we offer a variety of extra-curricular activities as well as holiday camps throughout the year.

Theatre, Yoga, Robotics, and more

Our extra-curricular activities are designed to nurture our students’ interests and hopefully to foster new ones. We offer a combination of games and teaching in primary school, plus academic support and revision work from the 1st grade to middle school.

Nursery-age activities

In nursery school, our students can choose to write their own book. During this activity children are encouraged to read and write in English, and prepare a book they can take home at the end of the year. In addition to this, parents can register their child for after-school care, available from Monday to Friday until 6pm, and on Wednesday afternoon.

Primary and middle school activities

From CP (Year 2 or Grade 1), our students can attend workshops on robotics and coding – and take part in a national robotics competition.

Or there’s Zumba, yoga, and drama classes among other activities (held in English or French).

There’s also a chess club and a journalism club which produces a school newspaper, as well as a cinema workshop where students learn screenwriting, filming and editing.

They can also enrol in evening study, from Monday to Friday until 6pm, so that their homework is done once they leave school. Additional help with the English and French languages is available too.

On Wednesday afternoons, we offer afternoon workshops with options including sports activities or creative writing, held from 1:15 pm to 4:00 pm.

Holiday camps

Our fun and educational holiday camps are open to all children between the ages of 6 and 11 during the first week of each school vacation (except for Christmas). Once the academic year ends, we offer a summer camp for the first two weeks of July.
