Learning Environment

École Internationale Bilingue (EIB) de la Jonchère offers a unique and caring educational environment, fostering the academic and personal development of each student. With small class sizes, the school guarantees individualized attention and tailors courses to the specific needs of each child. This organization enables each student to progress at his or her own pace, boosting self-confidence and wellbeing.

Bilingual education at EIB de la Jonchère

Groups built on solid foundations

In English, proficiency groups are established on the basis of the Cambridge Progress Tests, objective assessments that enable us to assess students' level and identify individual needs. In addition to these tests, grades and class participation are also taken into account. The school is flexible in its approach: two annual assessments enable groups to be adjusted to offer each student the best possible learning environment.

An education focused on personal and academic growth

EIB de la Jonchère values an education model that combines academic excellence with personal development. When it comes to learning English, students benefit from a complete programme, divided between the English language and literature, in line with the requirements of the Cambridge system. This approach makes it possible to adapt materials and exercises to students' levels, while encouraging individual success, without pressure to change groups as a goal in itself.

The importance of wellbeing and self-confidence

The teaching team ensures that every student feels at ease and able to develop fully. A child placed in a group that corresponds to his or her academic level will be more self-confident and progress better. Conversely, a student in an unsuitable group could lose confidence or become bored. This caring approach, adapted to the specific needs of each student, is a fundamental pillar of the school's pedagogy.

A collaborative teaching approach

Supernumerary teachers play an essential role at EIB de la Jonchère. They provide extra support for struggling students, and assist teachers with class management and the development of innovative teaching projects. Thanks to this flexibility, students benefit from enhanced support, whether through personalised tutoring, creative workshops or extracurricular activities. Co-teaching allows for diversity in teaching methods and greater support for each student.

Supernumerary teachers also make it easier to manage differentiated teaching. Their presence makes it possible to respond in a more targeted way to the various levels of proficiency within the same class, by offering a personalised approach. For example, when a lead teacher leads a group activity, the supernumerary teacher can focus on a sub-group of students requiring particular support. This collaboration not only enhances the quality of teaching, but also improves classroom management and student behavior, creating a more harmonious and productive learning environment. Thanks to their diverse expertise, these teachers contribute to the overall development of the students, while offering the flexibility essential to the development of innovative educational projects, such as drama workshops, green initiatives or extracurricular activities.

A collective commitment and stimulating projects

EIB's educational team stands out for its dedication and collaborative approach. On a regular basis, teachers organise collective projects that bring together students from different groups. This year's initiatives include participation in competitions such as the annual Globeducate's Arts Competition, as well as poetry and literature events. These projects aim to cultivate students' creativity while strengthening their team spirit.

An international team for a high quality education

EIB de la Jonchère is also distinguished by the diversity of its teaching staff. Comprising teachers from countries such as Great Britain, Australia, the United States and Brazil, the teaching team brings an international dimension to learning, with enriching perspectives and methods adapted to multicultural realities.

As a certified Cambridge Hub, EIB de la Jonchère benefits from the best teaching tools and materials to help its students succeed. This recognition testifies to the quality of teaching and the school's dedication to providing a rigorous yet caring learning environment.

EIB de la Jonchère is more than a school: it's a community where each student is carefully supported in his or her educational and personal journey. Thanks to human-sized classes, flexible learning paths and a committed teaching team, the school offers each child the keys to success and personal fulfillment.
