Welcome to EIB de La Jonchère

Welcome to EIB de La Jonchère, where students as young as age three to the 9th Grade are embarking on a bilingual educational adventure that is unlike any in this part of ‘grand Paris’.

EIB de La Jonchère provides small classes and a supportive caring environment in a wonderful campus located in the forest. An atmosphere of courtesy, respect, and cooperation prevails throughout the school.

In both French and English classes, at all levels, students are actively engaged; hand-on activities, manipulatives, and center-based approach are used to teach academic skills.

In our bilingual program based on the French national curriculum, students learn to express themselves through two systems of reference and values. Bilingualism allow them to step out of their native culture and examine it from outside. As they become proficient in switching between the two languages, they gain flexibility and adaptability.

The curriculum at EIB covers all academic areas and reflects high standards for excellence. The various subject in both languages – language arts, social studies, science, math, art, music and physical education-not only stand-alone within the program but are woven together through multidisciplinary themes and projects.

Our team made up of thirty native teachers aims to arouse our students’ curiosity and creativity so that they find meaning in their academic learning while mobilizing their transdisciplinary skills making them ready to take up the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world.

Welcome at EIB de La Jonchère!

Our academic mission

EIB private schools are dedicated to developing global citizens and to bringing people and nations closer together through bilingual education and an openness to other cultures. We are proud to be a UNESCO associated school, an organisation that shares our vision.

Our academic mission is based on three key promises:

  1. Immerse children, from preschool, equally in English and French, with half of the weekly schedule taught in English.
  2. Follow the French academic curriculum, enhancing it with Anglo-Saxon teaching methods based on experimentation and group work. At the end of their time with us, our fully bilingual students will be able to choose between Francophone or Anglophone academic systems.
  3. Nurture our students in small classes: thanks to a student-to-teacher ratio that is lower than the average French school. Our students enjoy personalised support in class, which allows our teaching teams to meet the needs of all students, ensuring they acquire the concepts and skills defined in the programme.
