Welcome to EIB de La Jonchère Bilingual School

Located in the Yvelines region of France, EIB de La Jonchère is a unique institution where students aged 3 to 15 thrive in a bilingual French-English learning environment. Nestled in the heart of a lush 5-acre campus in the forest, our school offers students a warm and nurturing setting where the values of respect, cooperation, and solidarity are essential.

At EIB de La Jonchère, we offer an ambitious bilingual programme aligned with the objectives of the French National Education system, while providing perfect equality between teaching in French and English. Our students learn to think and express themselves fluently in both languages, thus fostering linguistic flexibility and deep cultural openness. This bilingual immersion allows our students to develop essential cross-disciplinary skills to navigate a globalized world.

Innovation is at the heart of our educational approach. Our bilingual school’s programme fully integrates new technologies and robotics, particularly through interdisciplinary projects focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). These projects encourage creativity, problem-solving, and collaborative learning, essential skills to prepare our students for future challenges.

Our team, composed of around thirty native French and English teachers, is committed to supporting each student in their academic journey. Through active and caring pedagogy, we develop critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and digital skills in our students, enabling them to thrive in a constantly evolving world.

We are convinced that our school is a place where every student has the opportunity to flourish and develop their unique talents.

Welcome to EIB de La Jonchère!

Our academic mission

EIB private international schools are dedicated to developing global citizens and to bringing people and nations closer together through bilingual education and an openness to other cultures. We are proud to be a UNESCO associated school, an organisation that shares our vision.

Our academic mission is based on three key promises:

  1. Immerse children, from preschool, equally in English and French, with half of the weekly schedule taught in English.
  2. Follow the French academic curriculum, enhancing it with Anglo-Saxon teaching methods based on experimentation and group work. At the end of their time with us, our fully bilingual students will be able to choose between Francophone or Anglophone academic systems.
  3. Nurture our students in small classes: thanks to a student-to-teacher ratio that is lower than the average French school. Our students enjoy personalised support in class, which allows our teaching teams to meet the needs of all students, ensuring they acquire the concepts and skills defined in the programme.
