The EIB Lamartine Bilingual School student body is made up of over 200 students from many different  countries. School hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. There are no formal lessons on Wednesdays, however we do offer different workshops on Wednesday mornings.

In order to encourage intellectual expression over appearance, EIB Lamartine private school has a defined dress code. Clothes must be plain, without pattern or markings. All students must respect the three school colours: navy blue, white and grey. Coats must be navy blue. A navy blue apron is required for all nursery and reception students.

Please note:  in Nursery class, the children have part-time classes, in the morning or afternoon, five days a week, for a progressive adaptation to the school system.

Daily English instruction

EIB Lamartine bilingual nursery and primary school offers daily English language instruction from the age of 3, taught by native speakers who are qualified teachers in their home countries.

We also offer a wide range of extracurricular activities and lively classes and workshops taught in English.

From Reception Class (CP) 25% of the school day is conducted in English. This early specialised language teaching gives a decisive edge to language learning when children move on to our bilingual Middle School.

Embracing the power of technology

All our classrooms, from reception (Moyenne Section) to Year 6 (CM2) are equipped with interactive whiteboards. Our youngest pupils use ‘edutainment’ sites and graphic design software, while older students benefit from time dedicated to computer science.

English immersion at EIB bilingual private school Paris 16

From Year 4 (CE2) onwards pupils are introduced to word processing (Word), presentation software (PowerPoint), Mathematics (Geogebra), and Internet research techniques.

The aim of this programme is to familiarise the students of our bilingual school with the use of technology to enhance our educational programme. Technology is always used for learning purposes, and always under the guidance of a teacher.

Computer skills are tested in the 5 areas of competence of the B2i (Brevet informatique et internet) in Years 5 and 6 (CM1 and CM2).

Learning about environmental responsibility

EIB Lamartine has partnered with the world‘s largest international programme for sustainable schools: Eco Schools. Our aim is to qualify for the globally recognised green flag.

EIB private schools have also partnered with the WWF to help our students learn about the challenges related to sustainable development.
