In the heart of the 7th arrondissement, just minutes away from Les Invalides, EIB Grenelle private school opened its doors in September 2021. Welcoming students from nursery up to Year 6 (Maternelle to CM2) to begin with, the bilingual school will follow the programmes of the Ministry of National Education while offering a fully bilingual teaching programme, with 50% of classes in English and 50% in French.

Curriculum & Languages

In compliance with the French Ministry of Education programmes, EIB Monceau private bilingual middle school offers students the best, most relevant curriculum to ensure their success and prepare them for high school. For example, our students benefit from a special training course focused on speech and eloquence, in order to prepare them the various speaking tests they will have to take in high school as part of the Baccalaureate exams.

Learning English plus several other language choices

Students receive daily English tuition and in addition also have history and geography classes in English. Students can also attend a course entitled "Media Global Issue" in Year 10 (3 ème) to strengthen their English practice through studying English-language newspapers and media.

From Year 7 (6 ème) onwards, students can learn two languages: English of course, but also a choice of German, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin. From Year 9 (4 ème) onwards, they can learn a third additional language.

In addition, to make sure they are given the best chance at going on to higher education, and because languages are at the heart of our teaching project, our bilingual middle school students have the opportunity to take various language certifications from Year 10 (3ème) including Dante, Cervantès, HSK, Goethe and Cambridge.

Finally, students benefit from speaking and writing practice tests every 7 weeks, to develop their ability to work independently and be prepared for the academic requirements of high school.
