A workshop offering children an exciting journey back in time, to discover and explore ancient cultures through a diverse range of language activities in English. The program will incorporate history and geography, arts and crafts, and music. All aboard for our voyage to ancient Egypt!

This workshop extends language development for our Bilingual (CM1 & CM2) and Advanced (CM2) students. It develops oral expression, public speaking skills, self-confidence, communication and leadership skills. The children are encouraged to self and peer-evaluate and they learn to become self-reflective learners.

In this exciting new workshop, children of our bilingual school will ‘live’ history in the English language through stories, arts and crafts, songs, drama and poetry from the exciting ages of Gaul to the Renaissance. A special theme-related outing per term, in a coach bus, is included to extend the children’s learning in a hands-on, fun way.

A creative workshop based on traditional folk tales from different countries and continents. Children will be involved in role play, art and craft activities and musical sessions to compliment the oral experience of this cultural journey around the world.

This workshop is designed to inspire student writing. Students will develop and build confidence in editing skills and will further their proficiency in computer literacy. By the end of the year, students will take pride in the magazine articles and original comic stories they produce for the biannual online magazines.

In this musical comedy workshop, each child of our bilingual school will participate in the creation of a full-scale show, regardless of their English level, based on the concept of a school of magicians. Singing, dancing and acting lessons will be combined with the creation of scenery, props and costumes for an enjoyable experience.

The final end-of-year show, held at a local theatre, will be based on the great American/British musical comedy repertoire, including at least 4 large- scale choreographed numbers. School of Magicians: The Musical is a wonderful welcoming ground for beginning or experienced performers

In a creative and informal atmosphere, the children will explore and produce different writing genres in English, for example poetry, recipes, letters, picture dictionaries, comic strips… and go on to publish their work using a variety of IT skills on Word and Powerpoint.

This exciting workshop is especially designed for primary Immersion classes students, who are new to the French language.  Students will be encouraged to speak French in a supportive and creative environment, learning about France’s incredible cultural heritage via theme-based games and art ‘ateliers’ (for example: architecture, Aerospace, Puppetry, etc.) in a very fun and spontaneous atmosphere. Three outings will be organised to complete the children’s learning, with transport in private coach bus.

Artists will explore different mediums and practice well-known techniques. As all art classes will be taught in English, children will learn key vocabulary related to the different art forms, while improving their spatial awareness and manual dexterity. Children will practice patience and cooperation and, in the process, greatly improve their communication skills. They will share, help each other, create and learn with friends.

Please bring an old T-shirt so as to avoid getting school clothing messy.

This activity is designed to introduce students to the inspiring experience of expression through the time-honored tradition of theater. 

During the course of the year, we will study and explore:

• the fundamentals of storytelling,
• character development,
• vocal manipulation, acting for stage and screen,
• the production aspects of set design, costume, puppetry, and videography.  

Creativity enhancing techniques will range from cooperative improvisation and the expansion of existing texts to non-verbal communication and multi-purpose props.  

Participants will create several mini-projects throughout the year, culminating in a comprehensive representation of our studies at the end of the final semester.

Le Lab Mobile, the creative & eco-friendly workshops.

At each trimester, children step into a new adventure with Camille & Martin. These adventures will lead them to rediscover the beauty of the planet and how to adopt eco-friendly behaviors.

 A new club for 7è & 8è & 9è students to learn the basics of the moving image, from the first flip books to stop-motion to live film. We will learn more about the history, vocabulary, and techniques of one of their favorite activities, watching films. Each trimester, students will discover a different type of moving image by watching short clips, learning new vocabulary to discuss what they see, and eventually learning the techniques to make their own moving images.

At Play-Well TEKnologies, we strive to provide an environment where students can create without fear of mistakes, explore fundamental STREAM concepts through play, and express their creativity in ways they never thought possible.

• These workshops include building techniques and an exploration of mechanical and architectural principles: motors and gears, construction, machines, concepts like friction and energy, design and scale, and lots of fun LEGO projects like rides, towers and bridges, mosaics and inscriptions, models, architectural monuments and more.
• We know that children are already naturally gifted creators. Each week, students are introduced to a different project. They work individually and/or in groups to create the project and then they test, modify and play with it.
• Learn to design and build motorized machines, trains, buses, trucks; race, repair, explore the many possibilities of LEGO. Create a wrestling robot to compete in the ring.

Children sing choreographed classical french songs and play all sort of games (hot potato, hot and cold, color tag…). The objective : Learn French and have fun!

• The aim of these workshops is to offer the children the ability to discover and develop their own personal learning strategies.

• What is “paying attention”? How can I focus better?

• One or more memories? What happens in my head when I want to memorize? What are the different tools I can use ?

• Automatism or reflexion : what should I prioritize depending on the situation ?

• How can imagination help me in my learnings?

• Do I learn with my head only? In what way can my body also be an ally?

• Emotions : driving force or hindrance ? How to recognize and handle them?

• Each session will be animated by fun activities “head-heart-body” and based on practical cases that the children will encounter in class. Step by step, they will expend their personal toolbox and become more independant in their work.

Creative Writing & Tap Dancing

1:30 to 3:00 p.m: Creative Writing

In this activity, children learn the fundamentals of storytelling : exposition, conflict and resolution. Throughout the year, they practice their storytelling, writing and art skills by making comic books, and writing short stories as well as poems. At the end of the year, each child receives a hardcover book in which their stories and artwork are beautifully displayed.

Other activities in the workshop include arts and crafts, reading stories together, listening to music and playing games as a fun way to acquire vocabulary.

3:00 to 3:30 p.m. : Break and snack

3:30 to 5:00 p.m. : Tap Dancing

Philou is a professional tap dancer who will introduce the children to both the artistic and athletic, playful dimension of tap dancing. 

Children will learn tap dancing terminology and how to perform figures such as supports, basic strikes, postures and more specifically body coordination. 

During each session, children will execute a dance sequence with different musical styles to integrate Steps, Paddles, Shuffle sand Cramprolls. 

A fun new way to train put your whole body in rythm and movement! 

NB: Wearing tap shoes is not compulsory for the first sessions, but you should bring a pair of comfortable street shoes that should only be worn in class. If you plan to practice regularly, you will have to buy a pair. The teacher can advise you on this. Wear soft clothing.

Choir & Sports Adventures

1:30 to 3:00 p.m. : Choir

Offered in both languages, the choral workshop will allow students to acquire or develop vocal gestures through music theory and to put them into practice gradually through singing and choir .

Music is a moment of relaxation and evacuation of the moments of stress experienced by our children, it promotes in parallel the concentration of students by developing their self-esteem and their abilities of self-control.

Creative Yoga and mindfulness is an English activity led by Lisa Paps. It combines the ancient practices of yoga with the playful nature of children to harmonize their mind, body, and emotions. The children practice yoga poses (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation and relaxation through engaging and mindful yoga games and music!
