Last week, students in Year 5 & 6 at EIB Grenelle attended a WWF and STEM learning webinar on climate change.
It started with a lovely presentation on endangered environments and animals, all due to changes in climate around the world.
The discussion then moved on to the actions that can be taken within the school grounds. Statistics have shown that in the UK, schools emit 2% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Students then learned that even the smallest acts can create change.
For the last 25 minutes the seminar was opened to questions. Among other things, the speakers were able to address the topic of jobs related to climate change.
An initiative that allows our students to be more aware of the environmental cause, and this from an early age!
