The Eco Week at EIB Schools!

The Eco Week at EIB Schools!

Eco Week is an environmental awareness week for pupils. The event took place from 20 to 24 March at EIB de La Jonchère and EIB Grenelle.

At EIB de La Jonchère school, the parent’s association decorated the entrance to help bring awareness of environmental issues.
The school also celebrated the World Recycling Day, with a collection of reusable materials such as shoe boxes, egg boxes, bottles caps, corks and plastic bottles. These will be re-used by students in art class or for other projects.

As part of the Eco Week, Year 7 and Year 10 students cleaned the campus. Some of Year 8 students recycling team also went around the classroom from Nursery to Year 10 announcing their recycling action.

Another activity: the pupils created works of art based on marine fauna. This allowed them to develop their knowledge about the protection of the oceans, the preservation of our planet's natural resources and marine biodiversity.
A great creative and fun activity!

At EIB Grenelle, the Year 1 pupils discussed food waste and how to reduce this waste by reusing leftover food. They participated in a cooking workshop to make French toast!
Congratulations to our young eco-responsible cooks!

Here is a summary of the activities carried out by students of different levels to learn more about responsible consumption, recycling and ecology. Well done to them!
