A look back at the activities that took place during the last EIB Grenelle Holiday Camp from 20 to 24 February on the theme of the ice floe.
First of all, for children aged 3 to 5, the schedule was as follows:
- Monday from the book " Quand tout est blanc"
- Morning theatrical awakening: discovery of the ice floe using white fabrics of different sizes. The children explored the ice floe and threw snowballs at each other. They were also made aware of the scenic space by playing on the "piece of ice" and had to be on a piece of ice when the music stopped, maintaining a "frozen" posture.
They also made a snowstorm with a large cloth held by all the children and in which there were many other pieces of cloth. By shaking the cloth, they were able to make a snowstorm/cloth.
The children finished the morning by sledging with a large cloth.
- Art afternoon: creation of a book on the ice floe
- Tuesday from the book " L'ours et la lune"
- Morning theatrical awakening: discovery of the ice floe at night (in the dark) through a lamp with a violet filter.
Then, using the shadow of a moon and a bear, the children had to catch the shadow projected on "a piece of ice" and retrieve the cloth. The children really enjoyed the game.
They then made the bear's shadow work with a lamp, exploring how to project it onto the different white supports. The facilitators were able to witness a real "moment of concentration".
- Art afternoon: creation of a pop-up card of a bear and a moon on the ice floe.
- Wednesday from the book " 1.2.3 banquise".
-Morning theatrical awakening: discovery of the mode of movement of the animals of the ice floe and body expression :
The children were able to learn how the polar bear moved with big steps, the penguin by sliding, the fox on four legs..
- Art afternoon: creation of a mobile polar bear
- Thursday and Friday based on the book "Alors ça mord ? "
- Morning theatrical awakening :
The workshop was inspired by the book "Alors, ca mord?". The story takes place on the ice floe like a fishing trip. During this workshop, the children imagined a fishing scene. Coloured rings representing the fishing holes on the ice floe were scattered around the room.
- Art afternoon: creation of a mobile fishing penguin and creation of an accordion book
