The students of EIB Grenelle’s ArchiKids and Junk Modeling workshops have recently completed their ambitious and original project, "Gingerbread World." This creation showcases iconic landmarks and landscapes from around the globe, crafted using recycled and/or edible materials.
Each section of the model represents a different country or region, with students recreating famous landmarks such as the Japanese pagoda, Brazil’s Christ the Redeemer, and Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa using materials as varied as biscuits and candies. Through this project, the students not only explored foreign cultures but also learned to work with recycled materials and demonstrated creativity and innovation. The initiative also raised awareness among the students about the importance of recycling while introducing them to the basics of architecture and design. With the supportive guidance of their teachers and workshop facilitators, the students successfully tackled the challenge of building stable and visually appealing structures.
This project highlights EIB Grenelle’s commitment to providing innovative and multidisciplinary education, blending fun learning experiences with environmental awareness. Congratulations to the students for this impressive achievement!
