Globeducate Robotics Challenge 2026: The Spirit of Roland-Garros at the Heart of an International Edition

Globeducate Robotics Challenge 2026: The Spirit of Roland-Garros at the Heart of an International Edition

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the fifth edition of the Globeducate Robotics Challenge took place at Collège EIB Monceau – Campus de Torricelli. This flagship event within the Globeducate network brought together teams from several countries for a day dedicated to robotics, innovation, and international collaboration.

The project, led by Boris Maloberti, Digital Project Manager at EIB Monceau Middle School and Globeducate Digital Trainer, and Romain Rachenne, Mathematics Teacher at EIB Monceau Middle School and Head of the project’s refereeing platform, was hosted at EIB Monceau Middle School. Thanks to a true team effort and the support of the Globeducate Team, the event was successfully organized and coordinated.

Schools from France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, and Canada participated in this year’s edition, either in person in Paris or remotely. This hybrid format enabled students to share their skills and tackle technological challenges together in a spirit of exchange and cooperation.

A Sporting and Inspiring Theme: Roland-Garros

This year, the challenge was inspired by the world of Roland-Garros, the famous international tennis tournament held every year in Paris at the end of May. The launch of the tournament coincided with the robotics competition, strengthening the connection with this sporting theme. Teams, divided into primary, middle school, and high school categories, completed programming missions using Lego™ Spike robots, combining logic, strategy, and creativity on a themed game mat.

The challenges, held throughout the day, tested participants’ precision, critical thinking, and teamwork through a series of increasingly complex tasks.

Students also served as referees during the competition. Their professionalism, commitment, and sense of responsibility contributed greatly to the smooth running of the event, both onsite and remotely.
