Our international bilingual primary school, EIB Grenelle, follows the French Ministry of Education’s curriculum whilst offering a fully bilingual education, with 50% of lessons in English and 50% in French. This approach combines the best of both teaching methods, blending the rigour of the French system with the more active teaching style typical of English-speaking systems.

Our exceptional and caring team goes the extra mile to bring out the best in every child. Furthermore, we place a strong emphasis on STREAM activities (Science, Technology, Reading, Robotics, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), which enable pupils to continue to grow and acquire new essential skills in an ever-changing world. Our aim is to nurture open-minded, responsible and engaged global citizens by developing essential skills such as tolerance, collaboration, critical thinking and communication.

Our academic mission

A truly international education

The mission of EIB Paris bilingual private schools is to educate global citizens and bring peoples and nations closer together through a bilingual education and an openness to other cultures.

At EIB Grenelle, our academic mission is based on three key commitments:

  1. To expose pupils from the first year of nursery school to English and French in equal measure, with English-language teaching accounting for 50% of weekly school time.

  2. Our educational approach, based on multilingualism, is delivered through the French academic curriculum enriched with Anglo-Saxon teaching methods, based in particular on experimentation and ‘working together’. By the end of primary school, our pupils will have mastered all elements of the official curriculum of the French Ministry of Education, in English and French, our two languages of instruction.

  3. Guaranteeing individualised support in the classroom: thanks to a staff-to-pupil ratio higher than the average for French schools, pupils receive close attention, enabling us to meet each child’s needs and ensure they successfully acquire the skills set out in the curriculum.
     

Educating the global citizens of tomorrow

At EIB Grenelle, learning goes beyond the classroom and is rooted in meaningful, practical actions. During the festive season, pupils came together for a charity initiative by making and collecting Christmas hampers for people in need, demonstrating their civic commitment.

This initiative is fully in line with UNESCO’s values and Sustainable Development Goals, with which the school is associated, by giving pupils the opportunity to understand and take concrete action towards a more inclusive and caring society.

The school also works closely with Eco-Schools, the world’s largest international programme for sustainable schools. In 2025, the school was awarded the Silver Award for its work in this area.

Continuing education within the EIB Group

After completing their studies at our bilingual primary school in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, pupils at EIB Grenelle can continue their education at one of the two EIB bilingual private middle schools: EIB Monceau bilingual middle school in Paris’s 8th and 17th arrondissements, or EIB de la Jonchère bilingual middle school in the Yvelines.

All about languages at EIB Grenelle bilingual primary school

EIB Grenelle private international school offers a unique learning opportunity: genuine language immersion at an age when language skills develop naturally. Every pupil at EIB Grenelle school – whatever their stage of education – benefits from a bilingual French-English structure.

To uphold this commitment to fully bilingual learning, pupils receive a higher number of weekly lessons than those at state schools or schools under contract with the state. Furthermore, they attend school every day of the week, including Wednesday mornings. In Year 6, we prepare our pupils for the Cambridge English qualifications.

Mandarin is also taught for two hours a week from Year 3 onwards.

Support for language learning 

Enrolling in a bilingual school in France often requires a certain level of proficiency in French and English, which is not always the case for children who have lived abroad for years, or even their whole lives. For these pupils, we offer additional support, either in French (FLE) or in English (BML).

A message from our Head of School at EIB Grenelle 

EIB Grenelle offers a bilingual education in the heart of Paris’s 7th arrondissement, near the Eiffel Tower. Our experienced teachers deliver a rigorous curriculum in a joyful, supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to fulfil their potential. We set high expectations and believe every child can achieve excellence. Beyond academics, we place great importance on wellbeing and pastoral care, ensuring pupils’ social and emotional needs are met. A wide range of extracurricular activities and enriching learning experiences foster confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

School life

Uniforms

To foster a sense of belonging and respect among our pupils, all EIB pupils wear a uniform. In Nursery, our pupils wear an EIB Paris smock. From CP onwards, they must wear an EIB Paris jumper or cardigan with a white-collared top (shirt or polo shirt). The sports uniform also becomes compulsory from primary school onwards. You can purchase the school uniform from our online shop.

Extracurricular activities

At EIB Grenelle bilingual school, learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. To help our pupils become truly well-rounded individuals, we offer a selection of extracurricular activities and holiday camps throughout the year. Our extracurricular activities are designed to nurture our pupils’ interests and, we hope, spark new ones. We offer a combination of games and learning, as well as homework help and revision in French and English.

Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association (APE) at EIB Grenelle plays a vital role in the life of the school by bringing families together around shared projects and fostering dialogue with the teaching staff. 

It actively helps to create a warm and open environment that is conducive to the pupils’ development.

Throughout the year, the APE is involved in organising events that punctuate school life, such as Chinese Language Day and International Day. These highlights provide an opportunity to celebrate the school’s cultural diversity and strengthen ties between families.

Through its activities, the association also promotes the values of sharing, solidarity and commitment. In this way, it plays a full part in the dynamic of EIB Grenelle and the richness of its educational programme.
