EIB Grenelle bilingual elementary school
EIB Grenelle international bilingual primary school in Paris 7 welcomes children aged 6 to 11, who are divided into classes from CP to CM2 (Year 2 to Year 6). There is one class per age group. Our bilingual teaching approach is based on the principle of ‘one day, one language’.Pupils have lessons from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9.00 am to 11.45 am on Wednesdays. The school is open from 8.30 am until 5.45 pm. Extracurricular activities are organised during the lunch break and after lessons from 4.45 pm to 5.45 pm. On Wednesday afternoons, activities are open to all pupils, whether or not they are enrolled at EIB Grenelle.
Language learning support
Joining a bilingual school in France often requires a certain level of French and English, which is not always the case for children who have lived abroad for years, or even their whole lives. We offer additional support, in French (FLE) or English (EAL).

STREAM in the curriculum
Our school incorporates the STREAM methodology into its teaching. This approach draws on the best knowledge in Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Art and Mathematics, and encourages a hands-on approach to learning in the classroom or in our FabLab.
The objectives of the STREAM teaching approach are to:
- Give meaning to the knowledge acquired in class as part of our science and technology lessons
- Apply the concepts studied to a unifying cross-disciplinary project
- Introduce and provide a foundation in coding and robotics
Mathematics: Singapore Method
Mathematics is taught at EIB Grenelle bilingual primary school using the Singapore Method, a practical and progressive approach.
It offers pupils a learning approach for each mathematical concept, following three stages:
- Concrete (through hands-on activities)
- Visual (through diagramming)
- Abstract
The progression is cyclical, as each concept is revisited within the context of the other concepts.
