All families are welcome at EIB Trocadéro, even if the parents are not bilingual. However, knowledge of French or English – the languages of instruction at our bilingual school in Paris – is a real asset for supporting your child’s educational journey and communicating effectively with the school. We are here to assist you in your search for a school and answer any questions you may have.

At EIB Paris Trocadéro bilingual school, learning is bilingual from the very first years, with 50% of teaching time in English. Pupils alternate between a day of lessons in English and a day in French. On Wednesday mornings, our pupils also have school and alternate between the two languages every other week. The aim is to foster a genuine dual linguistic culture from a very young age. Over a 26-hour week, 13 hours are devoted to lessons in English and 13 hours to lessons in French.

French, mathematics (excluding geometry) and history are taught in French. Pupils at our bilingual school switch to English for science, geography, geometry, music and art. This balanced approach helps to consolidate fundamental skills in French whilst developing a solid subject-specific vocabulary in English.

Support in French can be arranged from CP onwards for pupils at our bilingual school whose level does not allow them to follow the bilingual programme effectively. This support is organised in consultation with the academic management team, based on identified needs.
