Bilingual learning from Petite Section

At EIB Trocadéro, bilingual immersion begins in the Petite Section. Pupils follow an alternating schedule: one day in English, one day in French. This structure enables them to receive a comprehensive education in each language, with all curriculum concepts covered in both English and French. Children thus develop a solid and natural foundation in bilingualism.

In Moyenne Section and Grande Section, each class benefits from the presence of a teaching assistant who supports the teachers and guides the pupils throughout their learning.

Mathematics: the Singapore Method

Mathematics teaching at EIB Trocadéro bilingual nursery school is based on the Singapore Method, a recognised and progressive approach.

It offers pupils a learning approach for each mathematical concept, following three steps:

  • Concrete (through hands-on activities)
  • Visual (through diagramming)
  • Abstract
