Nursery: a place to grow, communicate and discover

At EIB Wagram, teaching in the nursery is organised around five main areas:

• Promoting language development in all its forms
• Discovering and expressing oneself through movement and physical activities
• Stimulating creativity and understanding through the arts
• Introducing fundamental mathematical concepts
• Exploring and understanding the world around us

In our bilingual nursery school, children in Grande Section begin to learn to read in English, making the process of learning sounds and reading both fun and effective.

By the end of the final year of nursery school, pupils at EIB Wagram understand both French and English and can express themselves in both languages. They can also identify and write the letters of the alphabet in cursive and recite poems in English and French. 

In mathematics, our pupils discover shapes, colours and spatial concepts. They explore the world of numbers up to 50.

On a social level, we also help our young pupils to:

• Develop good study habits: attention span and concentration, following instructions 
• Develop their powers of observation and logical thinking
• Improve their social skills

At EIB Wagram, a private bilingual school in Paris, we believe that learning French and English should begin at a very young age. Ideally located near Place Pereire and the Arc de Triomphe, our bilingual nursery school welcomes children from Petite Section (age 3).

Uniforms are compulsory at EIB Wagram nursery school. From the moment they arrive at school, pupils wear an EIB Paris smock, a standard item of clothing that fosters a harmonious school environment and allows every child to feel fully integrated from their earliest years. At EIB Wagram bilingual nursery school, enrolment is primarily on a full-time basis, although families who wish to do so may opt for part-time attendance in Petite Section. This flexibility facilitates a smooth transition to school life.

Children must be toilet-trained to join EIB Wagram bilingual nursery school. If necessary, a deferred start date may be offered to facilitate this important step and ensure the child’s comfort in the classroom.
